Default spark plugs are loosened, what's wrong next?

the car have been lagging real bad and it's not even turboed, it hesitated to accelerate in all range of RPMs. So I just do the basic check up and found out that all my spark plugs are loosened to the point that I can just pick them out. The spark plugs themselves were brownish, which are fine, but they were blackened, same go for the plugs. The question is.. should I continue running them? I'm low on cash that's why I asked. And would it caused any other damage to the engine? Thanks for the replies.

Yeah...you can get some low buck plugs, just to be safe...or ..put your old plugs back in and see how it runs. If it runs good, dont bother

Yup, I was thinking the same thing. Just take a little brush, clean them off and inspect them for physical damage. What engine are these for? Reason why I ask is because if the plugs are NGK copper, those only cost like $1.50 (a piece) I think, so you could always go new. Make sure the plug gap is still within spec, reinstall them and see how she runs.

p.s. How old are the plugs anyways? Keep that in mind too, it might be time to replace them anyways. Hope this helps.
