Default ls vtec swap, no start

I just swapped an ls vtec motor in my crx and I can't get it to start.
I'm have spark
fuel
compression
checked the timing several times
Also, i am wondering if my timing belt is too long. It seams kind of loose on the exhaust side. it is a gsr belt and i got a gsr head.

if the timing belt was too loose would that cause it not to start?

this might sound stupid but check the distributer wires, and make sure their in the right order. i did a compression test a few weeks ago and felt pretty stupid after i found out thats why i couldnt start up.
thats the only thing i can think of off the top of my head, im not too mechanically inclined.

What kind of water pump, you need gsr or type-r water pump to run the gsr belt. If you have an ls water pump you need to run the ls timing belt. Good luck.

I figured it out. the guy at auto zone must have sold me the wrong pump. So i went with an ls timing belt and re timed it and it started right away

Good to know it's fixed. I was gonna guess a blown coil or ignitor as the next shot as to why it won't catch.
