are those rear drums?

you can do the teg or 90-91 crx si 9.5" rear disc swap...not just for better looks...but they help you stop better (but weigh a little more than the stock drums taking a small amount off acceleration)

Welcome to the board and nice civic Don't bother doing the rear disk conversion unless you want the rear disks for show. If you get some good pads in the rear you won't notice the difference. Most of your stopping power is allocated to the front.

Welcome to HT this is a great place to get lots of good tech info, remember we are strictly tech oriented so try and keep diff kinds of posts in their designated areas. I would suggest just taking a look around to see how the site works and then posting, theres a general attitude around here and a lot of newbies dont understand it and get flamed left and right. bleh, welcome to ht.

Silver, welcome. What else you have done to the 4g, and what are the plans for it?

Just remember: We were all newbies once, it's how you deal with being a newbie as to how people will look at you later on

[EDIT]

Oh yeah, forgot. Did you tape off the rotors or how did you avoid overspray? I was wanting to paint mine, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

Silver, whatever you do, do NOT listen to this inaccurate garbage. The rear discs are good for looking nice and all, but, will not do anything for decreasing initial stopping distances (aka, if you have an emergency stop, they won't decrease the stopping distance... they will actually INCREASE your stopping distances in an emergency stop.).

There's two benefits from rear discs:
- looks
- less brake fade in road racing applications ***

*** - This can be EASILY countered by using better brake pads in the front and more efficient and effective brake cooling methods.

also, why did you chose that colour?

I used plastic wrapping paper around the brakes and just carefully painted the calipers, let them dry and put more coats. They're red color and I used the engine spray can, so the hotter the brakes get, the brighter the caliper is. Pretty easy but lots of patience not to get paint all over

As far as the car, I've done little mods here and there like AEM CAI, DC header, injectors, 17s ALTs rims, 9.3mm spark plug wires, front/rear struts bars, newer engine, optima battery...But I'm saving up some money to swap a B18B+turbo. I'd like to run 10s on a 1/4 mile. I've got lots of quotes on the swap but I'm still doing research and having fun with bOObies in the meantime, hehehe...
Enjoy the pics

VERY nice colors on the engine compartment. Love how the Optima battery, wires, and strut bar match too (Looks like from the pic). Very clean too. Looks very well maintained and clean. Wish I could get mine to look like that . Keep up the good work, and welcome.
