Default fuse keeps on blowing.

To make a long story short, I just got out of work when I entered my car and hit the headlight switch, and saw that all my panal and cluster light didn't come on. I check the fuse, and looks to be blown.....I replaced it so many times and it kept on blowing on me. The next morning I checked out all the fuses, everything looks to be fine, but It still did the same thing. I thought it would be my fog lights.....so I unpluged everything regrading the fog lights. I took it to the dealership....they didn't have enough time to take a look at it. So the only thing I can come up with is, maybe a relay or something. If anyone out there can help me out, please.

make sure you are puting the right amp fuse in and check your wires make sure no wire is exposed it could cause a short to ground and blow the fuse

What year is your car. Honda had a headlight recall a while ago with the same symptoms.

No my car was not efected with that headlight recall, but it's a 02 ex 2dr. So you guys say it's a short, where can I start looking? If so, is that going to be a big problem.

you can start where you place the fuse. if you can get in there and test it with a voltmeter. its like 10 bucks at walmart. go get it. start testing wires. if i had to guess, i would say it was the wires in the dash doin something they are not supposed to.

I was thinking of checking for the fuse box to the headlight switch. The only thing I could think it could be is a wire might be hitting ground somewhere.

have you done any work near where the wires run if you have i would check there first maybe you pintched it and caused a short to ground also check after the load (light) try and find out where your lights ground at and then fallow back to the lights
is it just your head lights that dont work or is it other things too ?

My headlights do work, the only thing that doesn't is the panal, cluster, and taillights. I have a very strong feeling that it has to dowith my fogs or maybe a relay.

Ok, I took the civic to Honda and had it check it out. Had them run a diagnostic, to see what was wrong. It turned out to be the aftermarket radio....I was like dude, I know what it could be, radios are a sinch. As soon as they got done, I took my radio out, and rip out all the unnesscery wires, and found two open wires. I put it all back hoping it would work. It was all good now.
