my b16 swapped hatch is having problems,it will run for anout 10 to 15 minutes then it will shut off and thow an engine light with 15 blinks,well one long blink and 5 fast blinks(someone told me that was 15)and after it sits for a while it will start right up and only run for another 10-15 mins,also when i hit vtec at 5000 rpm it sputters and the rpms jump all over the place,so can someone plaese help me i have way to much invested just to throw away.thanks mike
OH yea this problem started after i put that crap 10%ethenol fuel in it

 

you cant just put ethanol in any car,,it has to be setup for it..

and code 15 is "ignition output signal"

&lt;---shakes head.... ethenol is only crap when put into an engine not ment for it's use...

 

drain the tank, refill it with 93 and some Chevron treatment.

 

I've been putting gas with 10% ethanol from my local "Sheetz" from premium to super in my tank, and I've ran without a problem... Come to think of it, I've changed my ignition (entire distributor) twice, and I've had to change my Bosch Platinum 4s since I've been filling up there. After a while my ignition freaked and RPMs would jump for a while and then finnally the Rpms jumped lower and lower until I reached a complete stop and had to push it back up to my friends.

I'd change the gas check to see if you installed those Platinum 4s, as I am told that they are not right for the B16...

 

all the gas stations in my area only sell the new ethenol fuel i cant buy regular fuel.thanks for the feedback.mike
