I got an engine out of a 92-95 civic hachback and the engine code is d15b. is it just a stock motor?

All it says is "D15b"? not D15b7 or D15z1? cause if it says only d15b its out of a japanese car,,meaning the person swaped that engine into their hatch,,...cause over here we dont get those stock..

 

man those motors are fast as hell and rare............sell me it!!!

REALLY!!! you think its a japanese motor. do you know what kind of car they come stock in???

It is a jap motor if all it says it "D15b"..here is the info http://asia.vtec.net/article/d15b/ also notice that in japan they are 1 year ahead of us..like our 88-91 is their 87-90 you get the point...just letting you know cause in the link there basing the years on jap specs..

what year did honda make the civic feiro???? or what is it???

 

all of the models in that chart are Japanese - all D15B engines were VTEC - if it doesn't have VTEC, then someone must have used the D15B short block with a non-VTEC head

civic ferio = 4 door civic..

if its from the 92-95 then yeah its vtec a.k.a. "jdm d15b vtec" the only d15b that doesnt have vtec is from the older ef cars with the carbs..

i REALLY hope your kidding...they're quick...if that. my freind has one in his EG its tuned, stage 3 clutch, and AI...and its just quick. as for the rare part..go with 400 american to TO and go to tigerjapanese and buy one lol not rare.i dunno how far from brighton..but from windsor its about 4 hours
