Inline Fuel Pump and Fuel Pressure gauge question????
Ok i have an in-line fuel pump on my turbo b16 and i need to know where to mount my fuel pressure gauge... it wont read on the fuel filter because the pump comes after so where can i mount it? can i mount it on my stock fuel rail somehow? or where the fuel line meets the rail? help me out guys!
...heres a pic of my set up.. you can see the pump mounted next to the bov by the piping... hard to see but its there..

well thats why im asking where ELSE i can mount it cuz it will not read correctly on top of the fuel filter with and in-line pump man
oh damn. i must have forgotten that when i replied.
ive seen a gauge adapter that goes between the fuel rail and fuel feed line (after filter) but it's only for stainless -an lines...
another option would be to drill a hole into the fuel rail, tap it for 1/8npt and put the gauge direct onto the rail.
or get an aftermarket rail that has an aux 1/8npt port.

i think pretty much any fuel rail has a spot for a a fuel gauge!

When I ran an inline pump, I got this adapter from Summit that spliced into the fuel line between the pump and the rail and had a port for a fuel pressure gauge. It seemed to work ok, but I had to use a good amount of teflon tape to get it to seal properly. It also might have been the cheap Summit fuel pressure gauge I got(that eventually broke). You might want to try this as a cheaper route if you don't want to replace or drill your fuel rail.
*edit - I found it the one I used:

and I guess Mr. Gasket makes a gold anodized one that comes with hose clamps for $4 more:

Nah, I don't. since I don't run an inline pump anymore, and I never took any pics of it when I did. Basically, I just spliced it into the rubber fuel line going from the pump outlet to the side of the fuel rail.
