I thought Alan started a thread on this but I can't find it.
Anyway, Autocrossers, Inc., is having an autocross Saturday June 17 at Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen, MD. $30 for four runs, Lee Piccione and/or Sam Strano designing the course, yada, yada, yada.
Lee's also doing the Pro Solo course the following week, so maybe he'll put some of the same elements in this course.

Any E Prep cars show up? Maybe I'll be the only one. I think my car falls into this class because of no interior. Of course the car is SEVERELY under prepped for that class, but

We're actually thinking of going this route too. Right now we have too many people signing up for an event and then not showing. Which means people see that the event is full but in reality we have a 30% no show rate which is unacceptable. We as a region have to pay for these lots, but the no shows who don't show and the people WHO WANT to show doesn't help matters.
I'm not saying you would do this but our region has been having this problem ever since we started pre-registering online for free. We have so many people coming to the event who are walk-ups that have to wait around all day for a spot to open, and of course that person does not show.

i understand where ur going with the paying online to promote ppl coming and getting the money, but what if something unpredictable occurs inbetween the time u pay online and the raceday and u cant go? ur stuck with having to try to get ur money back and all that junk....just makes things a little more complicated, imo..

We usually have a grace period of 3 days before an event for our major events that you have to prepay. I can understand a death in the family or someone falling ill. We're not dictators.

As it states in the event details. AI has and will give refunds for reasonable cause at our discretion. So far no one who has asked for a refund has been disappointed.
If we did not have prepay, we would have to charge more and you would have to wait in longer registration lines.

alan

ONe of these days I will be able to get down there. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed I can get my EG Civic Si soon and start with the build up.
Found two in prestine condition but one is in Colorado and the other is in Washinton. And I only have 1-2 days off a week from work.
