Default how to check fro compression in the pistons

is there a way to do that with out any tools ?? prob a stupid question but i gotta ask

Go to the nearest auto parts store and get a compression tester, only about 20-30 bucks. Peak numbers don't mean ****, consistency is key.

Example: 190, 190, 195, 190 - Good 220, 220, 225, 225 - Good

175, 170, 170, 45 - Bad
