Can you adjust idle RPM on a B16
hey guys i have a B16, and it idles real low, about 300 RPM, so slow it makes the steering wheel shake.. Id like to have it at about 7 to 900 RPM, is there a way to adjust the idle RPM?

the two guys above are correct, but only turn it like a quarter turn at a time until you are satisfied... i forget clockwise or counterclockwise??

question, I have a ITR throttle body and the screw thing doesn't turn for some reason so how else can I adjust the idle? I've tried the throttle cable way but screwed it up before
There is a process to adjusting the idle...it's not just a turn of a screw kind of thing.
You have to jump the service connector
Uplug the IACV
Now you can turn the screw...but you're adjusting for 500rpm...(I'm not %100 on this number)
Plug everything back in
Reset the ecu
You have to jump the service connector
Uplug the IACV

The way i've always reset my ECU was to pull the fuse in the engine bay. Both the ECU and Backup fuses and i'd disconnect my negative battery cable for 5mins then put everything back to normal never. never had a problem doing it this way
. Must make sure that if you have a radio that has a security code that you have it written down already or you'll be locked out of your radio lol

yes there is a way to adjust the idle. on the top of your throttle body there is a flat head screw. this is your idle air screw, you turn it to the right to decrease your ide and to the left to increase. if this does not fix your problem you may also want to remove your throttle body. it should be 4 12mm bolts and your throttle cable. you don't have to take it off the car just pull it away from the intake manifold. lots of time carbon will build up on the manifold in the port where air travels for the Idle Air Screw. hope this helps you out.
the helms manual i had said that screw is a cold idle screw and once the car warms up the iacv controls idle and the screw does nothing then. is this true?
