Default my install is pretty much finished...got some pics

i forgot to take pics of the amps...i have an alpine mrp-f250 4 channel amp bridged to 2 channels under the driver's seat and an alpine 350 watt v12 mono amp (forgot the model) in a trap door in the false floor, anyway heres pics of the rest

any suggestions as to what to do? the grilles dont fit anymore even after slight modification...im decent with fiberglass so i might try that

and heres a pic of the car its in...

p.s. yes, i know i need new wheels and a hood

I like it, but you might find that putting stuff in your trunk might get complicated with an exposed woofer like that. I had something very simular and I was always very paranoid about putting things that might roll on top of it.

the hood has a few paint cracks but if you look at it in person it is just crumpled because some stupid girls were sitting on it at a campout

as far as the tweeters, the first time i did it was with a dremel around the pod with the tweeter epoxyed in and it turned out great. the pods ended up breaking because i got frustrated with the doorpanels. when i put the tweeters in the new one my dremel was fried so i just used a butane lighter around the rim and jammed it in...easy stuff.

I like it. Other then the fact that where the ipod was ran, and I would be paranoid to put **** in the trunk if my subwoofer was exposed like that also. Great install nonetheless, would like to see the amp layout though.

the amp layout is nothing special...you cant even see them. i used to have the ipod clipped onto the middle air vent but it looked pretty crappy so i moved it down to where it is now and i love it.

Make sure that wire won't snag on the teeth of the handbrake. I had some switches mounted in the block off plates by the handbrake, and one of the wires eventually got snagged on the teeth, and it eventually got cut.

Install looks pretty good. I'm too paranoid to have an exposed woofer (both for theft and damage reasons) so I put mine under my false floor

Why didn't you mount your tweeters closer to your speakers?

I've always hated the way high mount tweeters sound since they're so far away from the mids.

I have the exact same speakers in my car (type-r components) and they sound pretty good to me

I have the alpine MRV-T320 powering mine, i just put my 6.5 coaxial speakers in back. i had to make a 6x9 frame first, then make a hole in the frame. i had the speakers from my 95 altima, i didnt want to buy new rears

Is it just me that thinks something needs to be done with the woofer cone in the doors? with the cover off of it, it looks like it was all just dremeled out and just left unfinished. im sure it sounds really good tho, it just doenst look that way
