Default HELP: how does one test an IACV?

Any way to diagnose or troubleshoot an IACV on a 4th Gen? The darn thing costs a fortune around here, while my idling problem is completely driving me nuts. It would help me figure if it is that or the FITV that's messing up the whole works.
PS. no vacuum leaks, cleaned both valves + TB + IM and used new gaskets
PS PS it's postponing my drop! Aaaargh!

I think (not positive) that if you unplug the IACV and the engine has no change in idle, the IACV is not working. Did you try to clean it out? (with brake cleaner or carb cleaner) Good luck

Yeah, cleaned that, the FITV, throttle body and intake manifod.
But that is a good idea... thanks!
Also I figure that maybe applying a current might help to see if it 'twitches' or not... a small one though so as not to bust it.

Does the idle change (usually goes down) when you unplug it?

So, I went to the garage to check just that: I let her warm up and run for a while, and then unplugged the IACV, and presto! Rpm dipped slightly and it threw a CEL...
So, elementary my dear Watson: I guess it is in working order?
...a n d it must thus be the FITV, correct?

PS. sorry it took time for me to reply: I fried my graphics card :D
