Do the job right from the start and it will be fine. So hook up all the wires first and then try to start it.

Check your firing order, and rearrange the wires as necessary.

That could be your problem. Fuel, Air and Spark is really all you need to get an engine started.

Get one yourself. SEARCH! An autoparts store can print them out too.

If it was an 89 DUAL POINT D15 then it won't run with the newer multiport engine unless your convert the electrical to multiport, fix the tps etc.

Ok guys so heres the deal. I took my 89 d15 + 4-speed tranny, out and put in a 97 d16+5-speed tranny. I put my intake off the d15 on and my distributor on, and hooked everything up. It wouldnt start, so i had someone come over to my house and look at it, he found some wires crossed and other little stuff...and we also changed the ecu incase it got messed up, then we changed the injectors and still no start.... It gets gas and spark but it doesnt start. The guy that i bought the motor from never took the timming belt cover off so it should still be in time, but I have no idea what to look for. please help
