96 GS-R hesitates intermitently when warmed up
Whats up? So a week ago today my bro wascoming home in his Gs-R when it started to die. he pulled over. I came out to help i started it up and it ran but idled irradically from 100-1000RPM. If I hit the gas it wouldn't want to die. Anyways our resident mechanic wasnt to far so he checked it out and said it was a weak spark. But my bro did NEW NGK plugs and wires a week and half before and 3 days before it died on him. It got a new cap and rotor. Use the plgus are gappde properly. So we got it towed home. It wouldn't run under load I got a used dizzy so he gave it to me said try and see. So we swapped the coil and the ignitor. It improved it but stil hesitates. It runs fin when it is cold. But when it warms up it hesitates but it is not consistent. sometimes it is fine sometimes it is not. And is fine when not in lo RPM's like after 2 g's it runs well. I have no idea nad am gettign frustrated. OH and last nigh we tried a brand new Coil. But did the same thing. Hope someone can help.

my 95 gsr idles funny on hot days, from 1000-1500 it will go up and then back down up and back down. dont know what the problem is, but it still runs good once i go (14.23 @ 104).
check for vacuum leaks but i doubt that would make it die, a vac leak makes the idle go crazy. could prolly be an alternator or a shitty battery, does the lights dim when dying? does it have trouble starting? does it have a check engine light?
I had that issue too and finally got new copper ngk and gapped them correctly and now it purrs like a kitty and even when it is over 100 degrees outside it just stays constant at idle
My bro just changed the O2 sensors in it yesterday now its runnign rich all the time. It didnt have aengine code before but now the CEL is on.it takes second to start. I'm running outta ideas here.
Is your RPM guage going up and down constantly?
Do a compression test to see whats going on.
On my last car it use to hesitate around 2500rpm, i did everything you did and it was still doing it. Then i did a compression test and found out i had a bent valve on cylinder 3.

The CEL light is on. A frien is gonna come wih his OBD scanner tomrow and we cn for from there. We havbe changed boththe ignitor module and the coil. Still not runnig but we can at least seehwats up . Will report tomrow night.
