Default mini me into ef swap question

alright this is long and lengthy lol... but for some damn reason i cant figure it out...

first of all the car is a 89 dx with stock engine...

were building a mini me with a spare d16a6 block and putting a d16z6 head on..

now the first wierd question is can we put the intake manifold from the d16a6 and put it on the z6 head to keep it obd0 or do we need to keep the z6 manifold on..

If we can use the a6 manifold is all we need to do is get a si harness, resistor box and wire it for vtec

or..
If the z6 manifold and all that must be used then what the hell do we do to convert it to mpfi, obd1 and vtec.

thanx in advance

You could use the Z6 manifold, but if you are keeping the swap OBD0, then you would use the A6 throttle body and injectors. Everything else should be compatible. You will need to convert the existing DX harness over to MPFI and add the necessary wires for VTEC. Do not use a Si harness, it will make the conversion much harder. If you use the A6 injectors, then yes you will need the resistor box as well.

I just dropped a d16z6 into a ef and the z6 manifold works fine. No need for the a6 tb or injectors, Just extend the map wires to the map on the tb. As for injectors if its a obd 0 computer and 92 up injectors no resistor box is needed
