Helpless Cause??
his insurance doesnt cover any driver? wtf thats crazy well i honestly dont think its worth fixing that car.. and who knows how safe it'll be after they straighten the fram... id put up a bigger fight with the insurance company.. unless she's listed on the insurance policy as a non-covered driver
Another vote for new car. There is some serious damage to the front of it, but if he has any mods on it see what you can salvage and look at a new RSX S! If the mods don't fit on the new onethere is always e-bay. And you might be able to sell some other stuff from it too? Poeple could be looking for stock parts all the time. And fight the insurance, that is BS! He should at least get some money, but they might be able to be douches and say that there was an unisured driver, check the policy, but fight it and have a lawer look at his policy, LOOPHOLES!
his girlfiend's insurance might cover it, but then again, it might only cover her for medical.
that's a hard hit. i suspect the airbag blew. if he has to eat the cost, it's going to leave a mark for sure. it shouldn't cost him anything to retain an attorney. i would suspect the insurance company's attitude would change drastically if he gets a lawyer involved.

X2.
It also depends on what he's planning to do with the car. If he's just going to daily drive it and use it to get groceries, the frame damage probably won't be too much of a factor in terms of safety, but it'll be $$$$$$$ to fix. Looking at the pictures, it's going to be A LOT of $$$$$$$ to fix.
On the other hand, it's going to be $$$$$$$$ to buy a new car too, especially if insurance isn't going to help out. Unless he goes for that new Yaris-thing.
See if he can finangle some money from the insurance company, part out what he has left on it, and then buy a new car. And never let his girlfriend drive his car again, unless he's really damn sure she knows how.

agreed. either way, he needs to get the insurance company to sign off on the car (write it off) or have them fix it, then sell it off.
it's a mental thing...once your car has been tagged that had, no matter who fixes it, it won't "feel" the same.

That car definitely should have been claimed as totalled... Airbags popped + obvious frame damage.
I also think getting a lawyer and fighting the insurance company should be the first step, but either way... New Car
Edit: Tell him this: don't ever let your gf drive your car again... ever...
