Default is my timing ok 19 degree for 16 psi (d16z6)

Im running a d16z6 with
je-srp piston 9 to 1
eagle rods
compression check showed 185 psi across all 4
t3 turbine with compressor 60 a/r with 3" inlet.

running 16 psi and 19 degrees timing . is this ok or too much

i tuned it myself with uberdata and a plx m-500 wireless datalogger.
the fuel is fine, just wondering on my timing.
the last colum on my hi cam map is at 19 degrees for 16 psi.

I would say no. I know a few people running 18* of timing w/larger turbo and an 81mm bore at just 10psi. A smaller bore, more boost and hotter air will make the timing requirement less to run safely on pump gas.

get the car on a dyno. retard the timing to like 16-17* and run it on the dyno. add a degree to the map and check to see fi ur peak torque increases or decreases. if it increases add another degree of timing. do this until the peak torque drops off. when it stops making power with more timing added to the motor, retard it by 1-2 * for safety. after peak torque (like around 500 rpms after peak torque) u can start to add more timing to that rpm section in order to bring the rest of the torque up. if doing this does not birng the torque up after peak torque then leak it the way it is

Sounds way too high to me. Mine didn't like more than 16* at 11-12psi. stock y8block/z6 head, zex 59300 cam, small turbo and 2.25" exhaust(isn't helping anything ). I used a det can for determining if there was knock or not. I've tuned other sohc's with similar numbers as well. They simply cant take much timing before knock occurs.
