Want to build a new engine different block options and head options?
I am new to the honda world and I want to build a new engine for a '00 Civic. I'm not sure as to what all the different block and head codes are. What are my engine options for blocks and heads? Thanks

come on guys, be nice. He said he doesnt know engine codes, so he probably doesnt know what to search for. Although he could have searched for that as well. But anyway...
do you want to build a nice motor, one that is fast, or just want to build a stock one? what is the car for? surely your not buying new heads and blocks from honda? why not just get a swap online?

crank,
shoot me a PM if you want and id be more than glad to help, you have to ignore all the power tripping fools on here.
you can try and do a search for "engine codes" but you'll most likely just come up with check engine light codes, which is not what you are looking for.
you want to try and focus on which motors are SOHC (the D-series engines) vs. the DOHCS (the B-series engines.) Then from here, which have VTEC and which dont.

hey, i was trying to help! lol
and crank, you should look into a b-series vtec swap, depending on what you want out of the car.
