I got a few minor dings and scratches, and I am trying to take a few out on my on before it gets painted. Do you use bondo and sand it down?

 

if you're inexperienced at body work, your best bet would be a dent puller. they are like 10 bucks at autozone. alternatively you could try to get inside your car and hammer out any dents.
if you're getting it painted, why not leave it to the shop that's painting it?
