Default SOHC people, need help picking a cam!

First things first, my setup:

SOHC ZC non VTEC (aka JDM A6). Going to be doing a mini me swap with a rebuilt Y8 head. Ported and milled 0.003. Running OBD1 with a virgin P28 from a '95 Civic EX-V.

I want to get an aftermarket camshaft and gear BEFORE doing the swap, as it makes the most sense to do it now. I was looking for a stage 2 cam, but all of them require the valvetrain kits. I don't think I can afford a cam, springs, retainers, and a gear all at once right now. Now I was looking at the Skunk2 stage 1 cam, and I am told it is actually quite agressive for a stage 1 (probably the best stage 1 out there), and it will run on a stock head setup.

So what I need help with is deciding if this cam is worth the money even though it's only stage 1. Also, are there any other stage 1's that are as good in terms of quality and power gains? Does anyone have this cam or any others they can comment on?

I did search and found good info as usual, but nothing that could answer this question. Thanks in advance guys!

***edit*** The cam I need is for a D16Y8, not a SOHC ZC!

Sorry I must not have been specific enough, the cam I want is for a D16Y8 SOHC VTEC. I'll add that to my original post.

Bump I want to know to. But I might just get rid of my ZC and pick up a Z6.

I know exospeed is good.

But what else.
