So I was just driving along and bam, car shut off!!! Would not restart, just cranks.

Ive searched all over this board and others also. Everyone seems to lean towards the same parts, but nothing is fixing my problem.

I have swapped the ign coil and the ICM but still will only crank and NOT start.

I do HAVE fuel.

Any more suggestions?

BUMP

 

Use a volt meter and check if there power to your distributer. Point it to the harness that is going to connect to the distributer that his 2 wires, if there power check your coil wire if there power too. Make should the key is on.

 

Has this happen to me..had to change the whole distributer

 

Did you check for fuel ?

 

Coil was bad........even the one I swapped in from a buddy was bad. Bought a new one. Running like a champ now.
