Default signs of a dieing fuel pump?

i already searched this topic and found nothing.. does anyone know of any signs of a dieing fuel pump?

oh and its a 90 LS with 202,xxx miles

They usually just Die if they start anything,
Do you have some kind of problem now that you're thinking it's the pump?

yes, every once in a while ill be accelerating and all of a sudden theres a dead spot where it will not accel. at first i thought mabe my clutch was slipping but that wasnt the case so im thinking mabe my fuel pump isnt functioning properly and is every now and then stopping fuel from coming to my engine? it almost feels like my car wont move for a second then it accels again.

i would first go through all routine cleaning, replace air and oil filters, throttle body clean, injector cleaner, replace fuel filter (yes, no one changes this) before you replace fuel pump

I have the same issue some times and i have a 94ls with 196,xxx I have also had it just stop supplying fuel and quit working for 5 min then started up fine. IDK... Any one know if you must drop the tank for these pumps off hand.

also check your oil, if your running a lil low....it will cause the car to hesitiate.....if oil is good....check spark plugs ; wires and what rkrone said
