So heres the thing, I was messin around with the cigarette lighter and i unhooked them. While i was fiddling with the wires i guess the two touched and "CLICK!" off goes my stereo and my xm( its plugged into the ciggerete lighter thingy) I looked under the dash and looked at the fuses. The cigerette lighter one was blown. its a blue (15). I figure no biggy, so i grab a spare and put another in. I connect my battery again and my radio and xm still dont work. Any ideas? Ive looked at the other fuses and nothing is blown. Everything else in my car works.??? Im selling my car tommorow LOL, and i need a response ASAP. THANKS!

 

look for a broken or blown-up wire.

 

hmm... i would hate to say this, but this happen to me. wires touched once when i was installing a radio in my car and from those wires touching, that radio never worked again... i guess u can fry them

but does ur radio have a fuse in the back of it?? that can be blown if there is one behind ur radio from the wires that touched, if not then i dont know.. hope u find out

 

may sound stupid but double check you put the fuse back in the right spot, i had this same thing happen to me a weekago and just replaced the fuse good luck.

 

yea you were right, i put the fuse in the wrong slot, i guess i was just really worried. My car is for sale and someone was coming to look at it. All works now, thanks for the advice ladies.
