DIY Snowflakes Wheels *Gunmetal*
wasup well since most people were impressed by my wheels ok this what I have done.
If you ahve snowflakes wheels you are in look check this out why spend money on expensive wheels well I went to advanced auto parts and I bought 2 bottles of GUNMETAL PAINT for wheels ( the one that has some gloss to it )(spray paint), and 1 bottle of clear coat for wheels and I bought sand paper
240 and 320
you need to have enough . BEST RESULTS WHEN IT IS REALLY HOT
1) You remove center caps
2) You lower the car & remove the wheels ( do the front and back on one side and then the other side)
3) Wash the wheels clean , and dry it off
4) Start sanding with 240 not to much not to less, you have to see that the the area is kind of rough so the paint will stick to it .
Don't leave any uneven area's it toke me 1~2 Hr for one wheel only you need to put some effort and do it right if you want it to look good,
5) Then use 320 to make it smooth and
6) Last wash it really good or wipe it off
7) Tape the tire around the wheel on the top side the back isn't that important, so the paint doesn't get to it
8) Shake the bottle ect and do one coat (lighty ) let it dry and simply coat it again until it looks nice make sure you don't let the paint form any thick area's like paint spots.
9) After the first coat do a second coat and make sure you cover all the area's then
9) Let it dry really well and then give it a clear coat, let it dry again and you should have your GUNMETAL SNOWFLAKES ready to go Good Luck !!
