I wouldnt by copies of wheels but if I did it would probably be a set of Rota's! Only because they do what they are supposed to, at a discount. Good luck on the choice though.

sorry *******, and btw im not all "butt hurt" about it. if i got mugens for 4k, that is wasting 3k on something that can be money well spent somewhere else, like boosting.

well I couldn't tell from you responding to me like you are butt hurt. none the less rotas are gay. if you can't afford new rims buy used rims. they are cheaper and still real. but I'm not the one being an *******. think about it. you are the one asking questions and want opinions. people give you opinions you don't want to hear and you get all bent over backwards. and say crap like ok then let me pull it out of my ***. why don't you post "which rota should I buy?" I definitely would not be posting on that thread.

What is he sacrificing by purchasing rota over spoon or mugen..a few pounds?

I, like most H-T users dont have money to blow like that and if we did I dont think I could rationalize buying that expensive of a mark-up on a rim when it doesnt look or feel better.

Its a money pit already, atleast leave yourself room to climb out.

Quick question:

If you got curb rash on a rim, would you rather have it be a $500 MF10 (that's also discontinued) or a $130 Rota?

Hey, if I were tracking the car, and could justify spending mad cash on some wheels (that is, if I'm a good enough driver to take advantage of the lighter weight AND made some money from sponsorship or contingency), OR if I were building the car just for show, I'd get the real thing.

But I'm not going to be spending that much money on something that will probably get fucked up on the street.

See this is the way I see it. You want to fix up a car with a certain JDM scene, yet you don't buy the real parts. That doesn’t make sense to me unless you want to be a poser. I myself am not rich but I work hard and got all the parts I wanted. It just takes dedication and that is what being an enthusiast is all about. People always will say I rather spend money else where, yes but can you really be proud of something that is a copy and not the real thing? I’m all for turbo and other mods like that, but in my opinion if you really like JDM stuff, buy real parts period.
