ls.vtec throwing code
i got a brand new ls.vtec in my da (i know im in the wrong forum but no one knows in the integra forum). i kept the car obd0 for now. i wont be able to change it over to obd1 for a couple of months. but for now its running fine, but its throwing a code #2 which ive done the research on and found thats its a secondary o2 sensor. by the way im using a pr3 ecu. but everyone in the teg forums thinks im stupid and dont know to work a wire and count flashes. ive even had a mechanic look at it and he even says its code #2. so my main question is, is there any way to bypass this or if not what o2 do i need to buy to plug in??? any help please.
If you need the secondary O2 Sensor you'll need to install it after the cat. I believe that it can not be bypassed. But I am not sure. You could reprogram your ECU to not look for it but that would be as axpensive as a new ECU. I know that the PR3 from a 99-00 SI OBD-2 looks for the secondary O2 sensor but I do not know about the JDM OBD-0 Pr3.
If it is secondary O2 and you don't have one the to keep from trowing a code, install the secondary O2. Ibelive that it is different from the one before the cat but not sure. You can also throw in a air/fuel guage while your down there.
