Default ..::Need help with weird electrical cig lighter issue?

I'm having a weird issue where my cig lighter works fine with the actual cig lighter unit, but I get no power when plugging in any phone charger or any other electrical device.

Is there a fuse, short or messed up wiring somewhere that could be preventing 12v accessories from working? I just need to know what and where I should start looking at first. I bought the car with an aftermarket deck and EQ installed already, so not sure if during the install of those items something got messed with?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

i would think that if the actual cig lighter is working, then the accessories should work. Have you tried the phone charger in another car to see if thats the problem?

Most phone chargers have a fuse of their own at the tip which unscrews..that sounds like the problem.

that or ... the metal tip coming out the end isnt long enough .. not touching all the way inside .. u can normaly unscrew it alittle longer so it will touch the inside middle

I've tried two different chargers, and one of those oil-scent heating things and none of them work in my integra. However they all do work in my other cars?

I'll look into the unscrewing thing you guys suggested, but other then that I'm stumped?

Thanks for your help guys, found the problem. It was just old and crusty.....previous owners must have just used the **** out of it. Had to stick some sandpaper on the end of a screwdriver and go to work. Just needed some de-crusting I guess!
