my brother and i need help with his 95 civic hacth with a b16a in it. it has s2s1,i/h/e, cams, s2 manifold,vafc and aebs tb. it all was ruuning good until we tried out my upgrade ecu. not sure how high he reved it to. but it just wont start up. when he tried the ecu, he said he took it up to about 8500 rpm and when to second and it cut out and then he started the second time and tried it again. he reved it to 5000rpm and it cut off and wont start. it cranks but wont start. it has a bubbling sound to it, like a mine misfire when you give it gas. we were guesting that it might have been a bent valve. did a compression test and it was all at about 180 all the way. if it is a bent valve how do we know how to tell which one? might be taking it apart to check what is wrong.

 

Do a leak down test to find out forsure, before you start taking everything apart. Did you replace it was the old ecu if not try it out first and try and check your spark to see if it have any.

 

got it yes we did put the ecu in and tried it. it was the dizzy the rotor crack and broke. it was sparking but not enought to run the motor.
