small square hole in engine block (91 accord)
this hole is on the front of the engine block, above the engine code that is stamped into the block and to the left of the exhaust manifold upper heat shield? it looks like you can see the flywheel. what is the purpose of this hole? i just washed my engine and didn't cover this hole cause i didn't notice it at first. i hope a little bit of water won't hurt anything??????
that does directly to your flywheel. The hole is for one to look through and on the flywheel there is a notched mark that indicates when the #1 piston is at TDC. There is supposed to be a rubber grommet that covers it up. Stop by your local frinedly junkyard an im sure you can find one.
that lil hole is for u to check ure timing on ure car.. if u wan to change the timing..that is where u shoot ure timing light at.. and if ure doing a valve adjustment.. u look for the tdc from there.. it is also where ure flywheel is..
