Default hole in engine???

So i was checking my oil and I have never noticed this before, but there is a black rubber plug on the engine block above the engine code (H22a4). So i was curious as to what it was and started f*cking with it, well it fell out real easy and exposed a rectangular opening into the engine and the back of the plug had mad dust on it. What exactly is this opening for and does it go into the engine (cause i wouldnt think dust getting in there is good......) Anyway, just wondering because I've never noticed it before and wanted to see what it was, and i also didnt like the fact that it fell out that easy...thanks

It's the timing plug, you pull it to check timing on the flywheel. It's proabbly dusty from your flywheel and clutch plate making dust.
