I just got my car painted last week, after all the motor work I thought the car need a make over. I didnt get the engine bay done, I want to do it gloss black, and I didnt feel like taring the motor out. Just wanted to see what you guys think.

I have a set in the mail, the new TE37's the black with red boarder.

 

Maybe its just the pics but it looks like you did a 200$ Maaco job. Paint looks dull, not glossy and like prep work was done poorly.

Yeah it does. Looks like it needs to be wet sanded alot and re cleared

 

Maybe a cut/polish.. who knows.. almost looks like it didnt get any clear, just a quick prime and base coat..

Too hard to tell from pictures anyways

If that's what satin black is supposed to look like.. then I don't like it.

i know you didn't want to take the motor out simply to paint the engine bay, but if you weren't going to do it, then you should've painted the car the same color.

 

yeah its a satin black finish (flat black), its suppost to look dull and not shinny. I have always loved the way the skunk2 car looks, not that mine looks like it, but it does have the same non glossy finish.

I will take the engine out here soon, and paint the engine bay, I just wanted the car repainted before this race season.

The bay is coming next, just need to take the motor out.

 

 

i was gonna comment on how dull it looked...but i might be the only one that reads threads in A/C.
