INSTALLING AEM Intake Short RAM - More complex then I though
I installed an AEM intake yesterday. I've done this in the past but for some reason, the GSR Integra was harder then I expected unless I did something wrong. So correct me if I'm wrong...
First, removing the factory resonator and pipe+filter was easy. But what got complex was that there is one tube that leads from the intake pipe to the head of the engine. I know that has to be replaced but that pipe (metal) is actually attached (welded) to another pipe that connects the head block to the intake manifold (coolant runs through it). I noticed the kit came with two hoses, each I'm assuming was intented to replace the factory ones. Where I suppose to remove the coolant hose and replace it with AEM's?
Please let me know if I did this correctly. The car runs great and I'm digging the growl. However, I notice the car whistles when I initially hit the gas.

The whistle is normal unfortunatly, and yes there will be one extra tube that doesn't hook up to the intake arm. You did it right.
Phew, it would have been nice for AEM to mention it in the instructions. I didn't know it was coolant running in the lower hose so quite a bit poured out. Luckily, I just flushed my radiator the other day so I still had some coolant left.
Speaking of which, I used Redline Water Wetter since I still had some left for my motorcycles. Is that ok or is there other special recommendations for the integ?
