It never rains here in CA. It kind of sucks cause its always dry...lol
Here in Rochester the weather blows, too. I've been hating it more and more each year. I actually started swearing and throwing shi* the other day when it snowed such that I couldn't open the frozen door in my car
I hate Rochester weather. You just look outside and it makes you want to kill yourself. The only reason I haven't done that yet is the knowledge that I'll be moving out soon. Until then, I'll keep drinking heavily to alleviate my anger
I hope they nuke this God-damned place so that no one else has to go through this crap!
Sorry for the rant....just want you to know that I feel your pain.

You think your weather sucks? It was 87 degrees yesterday here in Sacramento. And my A/C doesn;t work, either. I HATE hot weather!!! It's WAYYY to early for this kind of CRAP!!
My roommate, who's from the United Arab Emirates, had the ***** to complain when it got a little hot here in Rochester for a few days last year!!
There was not a peep out of me. I had no AC in my b16 crx either, but I knew what my other option in weather was. I refused to complain. I was sweating my *** off when I went into work, I had to sit for 15 minutes by a dryer before I was halfway presentable, but I did not complain once. I will take fiery hell over Rochester winter any time. Storminmatt....you don't understand what it's like to see natural sunlight maybe a total of one week out of the year. Human beings are not meant to exist like this......

Who needs A/C...I have a B16a in my rex and I don't even have A/C. Even if I did have A/C, I wouldn't use it anyways. All I do it roll down the windows and drive fast...you got yourself something better than A/C.
I live in Central NY and it's pretty bad here too. Today was the first day it's been nice for a while, and I was dyin drivin around with no AC. Got stuck in traffic for a while so havin the window open didn't help. And it's going to be much worse this summer. Can someone tell me everything I'd need to pull out of a car at a junkyard to install AC, and how much would it cost to have it installed? Or would I be able to do it myself? Please let me know...
Why is it that it is okay to complain about cold but not heat? Face it. Some people don't take heat too well. I am one of them. As for Rochester, I would not exactly call Rochester cool and comfortable in summer. I have been to New York (Ithaca, actually) a couple of times during summer. And I would have to say that the summer weather there is even more uncomfortable than it is here in the Central Valley. Although actual daytime highs are lower, humidity is MUCH higher. When I was there, it was so bad on several occasions that it felt hard to breathe. Such conditions are non-existant in California. (When I first went east of the Mississippi at the age of 9, I never experienced such weather and was quite shocked when I first felt it! I never knew such conditions existed naturally on this planet). I have also noticed that it does not cool off at night on the East Coast like it does in California. Sacramento can have nighttime lows in the 50's even after 90 degree days. But it seems like you are lucky to have a nighttime low of even 69 degrees after even a slightly warm day east of the Mississippi.

You think thats crazy, it was 94 today at my work (outside). It's supposed to be 50 this time of year. It was 109 inside my work today with the paint ovens going.
yahh well, I live in Surrey BC, and each friday the street legal drags at Mission Raceway have been cancelled due to pissing clouds. Sunny the next day, right when it's too late, or sunny the day before! Ironically, my brother leaves this friday, and the weather is supposed to be beautiful, and he can't race!!!! I'm still going to spectate though.
StorminMatt, I guess we are different.
Yes, it can get quite "uncomfortable" here in Rochester from the heat, such that my UAE roommate actually complained. Nevertheless, I will never again complain about the it.
Today it got to a reasonable temperature, it was like 85 - 90 outside. I spent half the day laying outside the engineering building sipping on hot coffee and looking at the girls. Some people might call it "uncomfortable", and I used to be one of them. However, when you only get a couple days of sulight a year, you learn to appreciate every ray.
I will fry to a toast on a desert before I ever complain about heat again. I imagine if I lived in California I would be like you where I don't take well to heat. But, living here in Roch is like living in a dungeon. I know my views are very skewed on the subject, but this place really gets to me. It wasn't until I started going to school here a couple years ago that the first seed of hatred for cold was planted in me. Now it has grown to unimaginable proportions, and I would love to spend the rest of my life in Cali (except for the emission laws). Maybe we should switch places.....perhaps if you lived here a couple years and I there a few, our views would reverse.

Speaking of California weather, alot of east coast people (like yourself) might find it interesting to know that major California cities are MUCH cooler in summer than New York cities (or major cities in other states east of the Mississippi). Although San Francisco is one of the warmest US cities in the winter, it also has the distinction of being the coolest major US city in the summer (the average daytime high in July is only 68 degrees). It is even cooler in summer than Seattle, WA. And it is MUCH cooler in summer than such places with reputations for being cold like Minneapolis, Minn. You might even be surprised to hear that even Los Angeles is cooler in summer BY A LARGE MARGIN than any major city east of the Mississippi. This includes Minneapolis, Minn and even Concord, NH. It is only in interior areas of low altitude (like Sacramento, Fresno, and Bakersfield) that summer weather is truly hot. But even here, night time temperatures are MUCH cooler in summer than almost any location east of the Mississippi. And humidity of any kind is virtually non-existant anywhere in California.
