*searched* Air conditioner problems
I have already searched this topic and didn't get any answers. I charged the freeon in my car already. The compressor does come on and the air does blow. It just doesn't get cold. The pipe gets cold but the air blowing just doesn't get cold. Any ideas?? Its a 92 SI BTW.
Just idea from an old honda bulletin...
A/C Not Cold?
Do This First
If the A/C doesn’t blow cold air, check the adjustment of
the heater (water) valve cable (most Hondas*). A
misadjusted cable can make the A/C temperature in the
vehicle 155F higher than it should be.
To check the heater valve cable adjustment, run the A/C
on High until the engine warms up, then feel the heater
hose between the heater valve and the heater core. The
hose should feel cool. If it’s warm, the valve isn’t fully
closed, and the cable needs to be adjusted.

I bought the kit that changes the R12 over (which I should have checked before I bought the kit since it was already done) it came with the guage that checks the pressure. I emptied all the other freeon out since it was way overcharged (the guy I bought it from is obviously an idiot) and started from scratch. I have to check the cable tonight!
