Default Strange sound when turning

I have a 97 honda civic ex lowered. When i turn somtimes i will hear a sound coming from my front driver and sometimes in the back passenger .Sounds sorta like a boat creaking. I think its coming from the tire but i cant be sure. This happened after i got my one of my tires change and all rotated. At first i thought it was my mud guard but when i checked it looked ok. This is really bothering me. I know i have a bad cv boot where the sound is coming from so it might be that but i cant explain the same sound coming from the back. Oh as does anybody know how severe a cv boot change and cost.

If you can't absolutely identify what's giving you your problems, you will likely spend a shitload of $$$$$ without ever solving your problem, not to mention potentially causing new ones to pop up. If you know your CV Boots are finished, then fix that first (get it fixed). There is no guarantee that it will solve all of your problems, but at least you will be able to rule it out as a potential cause.

If you are doing all the work yourself, then you're gonna need to take a lot of pics so that we can help you better, and tell us EXACTLY what kind of car you have (Year, Make, Model, Doors, Trim Level, AT/MT, Options (ABS)). If you're gonna get someone else to do it, then tell them about the problems you experience, and what you KNOW to be wrong (i.e. the CV Boots). They can look at the other related components, and might discover what is giving you your troubles.

You have to pinpoint where you're hearing these sounds.

Raise your car and spin each Wheel by hand (at least the Wheels that you suspect are making the noise. Try to move the Wheel in **ALL** directions: Forward, Backward, In, Out, Sideways, etc. Put your hands at 12 & 6 and push the top, then push the bottom. Do the same thing at 3 & 9. This is how mechanics will check your bearings (consistent with the symptoms you describe). Do the same by trying to pull/push your wheel toward the car's centerline. Excessive play will likely indicate a bad Bearing (my vote, for now).

Do you hear these sounds ONLY when you turn? Which Direction? Does the sound get worse while Braking or Accelerating? Clutch In/Out (do you have an Automatic? EDIT... oops... CV Boot... duh)? Tell us more about what the car is doing when it makes these sounds... Unless you want to get about 150 suggestions, each of which will motivate you to spend money where you don't need to...

... I vote for bad Bearing/Hub Assemblies...

Tell them you didn't experience this problem until after they serviced your vehicle (which doesn't necessarily mean they F'd anything up, especially when you mention your bad CV Boot). Tell them you need your car fixed so that you can drive to your employment... A LAW FIRM... then giggle as they scramble to find out what's wrong...

Let us know, and GL, MibuKyoshiro... Esquire!!

Hey thanks alot for the help I'm gonna need to take it into the shop and check these things. The sound only starts when i turn my steering wheel about 1 full turn to the left and accelerate. This has been happening quite often lately and i just dont have to tools or space to check it myself. So I'm turning to you guys for support. Its a 97 honda civic ex,2door, no abs MT, lowered sitting on gsr blades with 195 15's. I know the cv boots have been bad for while because i saw a leak in them about 3months ago and just dont have the time to fix them. Do you think i'm over due???
