brake caliper painting
I was wondering if there's a difference between just getting a can of brake caliper paint for $14 bucks for a quick job or actually getting the full $30-40 kit with a can of paint, brush, etc. Thanks.
dont get the full kits its alll a bunch of BS. just sand ur clipers with 220 grit sand paper so it get rid of all the rust and dust. make sure there free of grease and oil. mask everything arouund it and spray. it only took one can of red to paint all 4 calipers red. cost me $5.99 and a sheet of sandpaper was $.89.

X2 just use High Temp Paint, not regular paint and spray on a couple layers

Just did mine last week with a can of satin black paint... took the brake system apart and painted part of the rotors, calipers, and rear shield. I just took a wire brush on a dewalt to them, cleaned off with brake parts cleaner, and sprayed away.
