so i was driving the other day and the oil light started to blink what does that mean? i got home and checked the oil it was fine so i started the car and drove it and the light hasnt came on since.

 

Could be the oil pressure sensor came lose or somethin check it out its underneath the car next to the oil pan i think

 

the blinking means that you have low or no oil pressure....u might want to look into that. oh and dont start it untill you think you have it fixed

 

happened to me, needed a new oil pump but i drove about seven hours with it on and off, car ran fine

 

ok thanks. when i does happen though and the car is idleing its sorta like a weak blinking like the light is half on the when i rev it up it blinks bright. ive been driving it alot since it runs fine and hasnt came on since. what are the signs of a bad oil pump?

 

I got a 95 LX with like 54k miless it does the same thing. I'm guessing just an oil pressure sensor.

 

make sure your engine doesn't have any gunk built up
