cut wires ... help! in a DC teg.
I just recentley purchased an integra, and for the stero, i got a bunch of cut wires. this was because he had an older headunit that he wanted, and when he installed it, did not use the adapter. is there any way where i can buy an aftermarket HU, and the adapter, and just cut off the "stock" side and then just crimp the wires together accordlingly? or is there another way?
thanks

Yes, you can just connect the wires from the headunit right into the wires in the car. You shouldn't need an adapter. http://www.installdr.com/Harnesses/HA-Wiring.pdf should help you figuring out which wires are for what. If you decide to put the stock connector on there just so you can buy an aftermarket one to plug into it (waste of money if you're not going to change headunits often), then http://www.metraonline.com/ should have what you're looking for.
If you're going to be doing a lot of electrical work on the car, then it would be a good idea to get one. But just for installing a head unit, one isn't necessary.
just get some wire nuts and wire it up yourself man that's the only way to do it if the wires have been cut.

usually the instructions will tell u which wires go to what or the wires themselves should be labeled with (ground, power supply, antenna, left rear, etc.)
if they aren;t post em up and i will tell u what to wire to what

I had the same problem when I bought my car. Damn car thieves.
I simply ended up wiring on a new male harness in the factory spot. Easy and can save yourself a lot of work in the future

Not so much a kit, rather two harnesses. Any local car audio place will have them. Don't pay more than about 8 bucks a piece, even though most places will want 15+ for them
