What is the right drivers side mount bracket?
I just got my innovative mounts and while installing them to the motor/tranny I found that the drivers side mount wouldn't line up with the studs on the bracket that bolts to the engine. The B18C5 I am installing into my '90 CRX si was pulled out of a '94 del sol so I am wondering if they had changed the bracket. I was guessing that "fits all B series engines" means I would simply bolt it on. I didn't realize I would have to search out and find other parts to make it work. I did take off the bracket from the dead D motor but found it was not the answer. I am going to contact innovative tomorrow but I was curious if anyone had been through this and had a solution. If anyone needs more info just ask.
you need 90-93 ls teg bracket.once u get a hold of the bracket u need to use the 2 holes near the driver side.not the holes where the stock bracket goes near the passenger.once u take out the stock bracket, try marking around the side with the teg bracket and mark them with a marker.why u ask?because if you try installing the teg bracket youll see that not only your motoer wont line up but it also would be hitting your crossmemeber.thats why u mark first so you could bend down on the crossmember to give the brakcet clearance and so it could line up with your motor.if anything go to hasport.com then i think is tech support.they will show you how to do everything.good luck.another thing incase u got drag racing mounts like i did expect vibration its normal.if u got street dont worry about it.
