Well I just changed my stock d15a7 (92-95DX) intake manifold to a (92-95_Si/Ex) Manifold. It feels slightly better in high rpm range. But here is my question. has anyone done a break down to how much volume each Intake holds. Dx, Si 92-95 and the Y8 manifold?
give your intake mani a port and polish. Its alot cheaper then buying a skunk2, venom, edelbrock mani and the performance gains between the 2 arent goin to be noticeible on the butt dyno.
besides, its oem so you know you wont have any problems with sensors or anything at all

Yes I am one with the search command. But if you read the post correctly I would like to know how big each of the stock manifolds are into CC Volume... I don't give a crap about Aftermarket. I know Broks manifold is the best. I am trying to figure out volume of each stock manifold. I am plainning to do a cut and re-welded stock manifold port from inside and out...
just get the stocker extrude honed, i mean if you are too broke to buy a skunk or eddie. but if you are doing anything to a stock Dseries you might as well do it for cosmetic reasons because it wont make it faster. 16 secs is 16 secs w/ stock mani or modified stock. just boost it.
well out of all the d-series engines, the z6 head flows the best while a y8 mani flows the best also. But this is such a small size increase over its counterparts.
inter is a link somewhere where someone did a flow dyno or whatever its called. But then you run into a problem with sensors and throttle line.
what head are you looking at mating the "hybrid mani" to??

right now the motor is still stock at 187k miles yes that's right. 187k miles. d15b7 1995 Dx Hatchback. I have a ls in the garage from when i did a b20 swap into my buddies tegra. So I am a happy ower of his old motor. But once I get the car smogged some time next month. I would like to slap a 95 Si/EX head with the y8 manifold. And boost it... But so far all mods to this car is all suspension. I have another car which is a 90 Civic Hatch with 95 complete wirring from headlights to tail lights. So I figured my daily drive would come last with the motor. Cause you know once you start messing with something the bug is set. You'll just keep wanting to go more, and more....

the gains would be there, but not anything extreme
OP: your goin to need a custom throttle bracket for the y8 mani to the z6 head, just to give you a heads up
