ok ok... it's not quite as cool as it sounds...

I'll hardly be able to make it to any HC/NASA events now (not that I made it to many to begin with... but now it'll be even fewer!) as I'll be going to all the Grand American series events. I just started the other week as a data acquisitions engineer for Finlay Motorsports in Mooresville, NC. (anybody live here?! i don't know anyone!)

I'll be working with the Motec M880 ECU for the rest of this season until we switch to a spec Bosch ecu during the off-season. This system is insane! You can program this thing to polish your ballz and fix you a milkshake!

Anyways... on to the cars I'll be working with!

Do me a favor and keep this in mind... A little hint about the ford modular motors.. the #8 cylinder by design has problems being cooled...so what people do is unplug the freeze plug on the back of the drivers side head and route it back to the front coolant tubes. This allows you to run a bit more timing without detonation in #8.

Congrats man you deserve everything you have gotten. Learn some stuff so you can pass it down to me and get in good so when I need an internship I can call you. Have fun in mooresville, the only thing there is the stock car museum, uti, the dragstrip, and a bunch of race teams, oh and a crap load of rednecks.....hahaha, if you get bored you can go to victory lanes.

While I was at the Phoenix round, the bunnies kept walking around and I was thinking "Man, that would be a nice little extra perk for working with that team." Meanwhile the team I was with just hollered at them as they walked by.

I was going to go into a similar path but opted on a more "normal pace" job but still doing fun automotive data aq/calibration stuff.

Gonna be at Mid-Ohio? We will be there with our Legacy GT running ST. Congrats. It's nice to have one of our own working at that level.
