Default sohc zc head on d16z6 block?

Does anyone know if it will run ok? My z6 head leaks oil from a valve cover bolt. (The thread where the bolt tightens down into the head cracked and broke off, so now theres no way to tighten it down.) I have a sohc zc head and i'm just wondering if anyone's done it and how it ran?

im not a pro but sohc zc is a dseries motor correct? and dseries motors all have the same bolt pattern if im not mistaken...as for internals, buy an adjustable cam gear for like 100 bucks....cant see why it wouldnt work. dont do it thinking i kno all my **** tho.

I know the head and block will bolt up. I'm just wondering how it will run. Will the timing be off? Or will just putting everything to tdc be fine to get it running properly? I'm taking a vtec head off and replacing it with a non vtec head. Like a reverse mini me swap. Only reason I want to use the zc head is it's what I have. Thanks for the reply

I'll be using the 88 si harness I have. Any issues there?

Never ran the vtec at all. It's been like that for about 5 or 6 months. But there shouldn't be any issues with the timing as long as I set it at tdc?
