I want a name for my car but I cannot come up with one that fits and seems comfortable. For some people this topic may seem a bit weird but I think you, the people of H-T can relate since you are all passionate about your rides. Who else named their R? Please give the story of why you named him/her a specific name if it is not obvious. After two years of owning the vehicle I thought I would have chosen a name by now. Most of you know "Her" via the web site so maybe you can come up with a few good suggestions. Thanks guys!

 

I like the name "Ashe" when I think of black ITRs with the gunmetal rims. A tomboyish type female name.

I think it is a good idea to name your car.
My ITR is named Tetsuo.

I can't suggest a name for your car, you'll have to come up with that yourself.

 

A Honda-enthusiast I know and really respect because he is a very true person called my R the "Bad Boy". So from that day on I took it as "his" given name.

Call her "Nasty Toy", that`s just what all women are...

call it buy it's number... i call mine 764, but most of the time i call it a POS .

 

A girl I used to work with named my ITR...Sunshine. It's appropriate since my car is female. My girl treats me well. haha.

I dubbed her The Yellow Dragon. Then she became...Sunshine the Yellow Dragon.

My hybrid is named Lucky the White Shark. Lucky for many reasons.

How about Takara ? A japanese name that means treasure.

It's weird that you mentioned that movie. The night before I took delivery of my Type R I could not sleep - I bet a few of you had the same dilemma. So I turned on the TV at 3:00 am and guess what movie was just beginning? The movie Christine, about the red 1958 Plymouth Fury! I sort of like the name but I'm not too keen on the idea of naming my car after such a morbid movie.

I think there is a little resemblance between the cars... What do you think?



OH MY WORD - Even back in 1958 that Plymouth had HID high and low beams!
