Default My B18b vs. h23 turbo

ok I need to know what needs to be done to beat this guy, I have one year until we race. He has an h23 with a t3/t4 turbo hooked up in an integra body and that’s it. Right now i just got a jdm b18b in my 94 integra. I am going to turbo it in a month or so and get the internal done this week. i need to know what else can i do after i turbo my car for it run at least high 11.

Just to add a little to the story i put five G's on the line

Well you're pretty screwed then.... for all you know his engine could have 30k in it.... or he could be an idiot and not intend on racing.

You are also pretty screwed because his engine has about 60hp than yours stock...

what kind of turbo are you getting? what are you getting done to your internals? how much money do you have to spend? it all falls down to how much money you have. Just do a search the possibilties are endless. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1024174

Again... "Getting internals done" is not a generic term. Typically people do something specific.... different pistons.... different cams.... the turbo you want is different depending on what you have done to your engine... and what kind of power returns you want....

You can't just say "I want an 11 second car that can beat this car that I know nothing about... i am getting "Internals Done" what kind of turbo do i want?" There are so many other things involved im making a car that fast that you probably havent thought about. An 11 second car tends to need some planing behind it.

If you are serious about this.... read... search... read some more

lol.

do an LS/vtec, sleeved bored to 2.0, 9.2:1, forged rods, balanced crank, oversized valves, toda c cams, skunk 2 springs and retainers, and the normal other stuff.

and a heavy *** clutch, and some drag slicks.

Or get a k20, swap it in, build and turbo it.

You could always turbo then maybe spray it also.
Hell 5 grand on the line I'd turbo and spray just cuz I dont feel like loosing money. Not to mention if your expletive your engine up you always have that 5 grand for repairs or a new engine. turbo+n02

10 to 15gs........ if you really do have the money and your arent just bullshitting yourself then drop in a k20a swap with a decent turbo kit...

but yeah if you have 10 - 15gs dont spend it on a b18b.. that would be stupid. upgrade your platform and build from there.

b18b vs h23..... the h23 has a hell of a lot more displacement plus the turbo.. you dont stand a chance in hell. unless he cant drive for ****.

but yeah i hear people talk a lot.... but i rarely see them walk their talk. start buying things and post updates.

My buddy has a b18b turbo and runs 12's with gutted interior. His set up is pretty good. He's running low compression pistons(8:5:1)forged. Forged rods. Stock head. Basic bolt-ons. Drag stage 3 turbo running 17 lbs of boost. Bfg drag radials. Tuned his own car so No joke high 12's. Your cars capable of running good times if you spend your money right. You don't need to change your motor. If anything go with an ls/vtec turbo set-up. Just make sure you beef your motor and tune it so you don't blow it. Good luck with your race...by the way I have a 94 integra ls/vtec beefed up with nitto drag radials running high 13's all motor so imagine if I run turbo. Good luck with your race.

LS turbo in a hatch would be alot better and a really good tune and some drag radials or slicks and you should hit 11s.
