Hytech Production Header Polish?
Well, my car is down for the count, and I thought I would polish my hytech production header...
It doesn't look "that" bad, but I miss how it looked when I first got it. One thing I was concerned about is if it's coated with something that I should try not to sand off?
Would it be more protected from the elements if I just left it as is?

That is actually one of the more recent threads I ran across about polishing a header.
I'm concerned about a protective coating, if any on the hytech header that maybe I should avoid sanding off.

If you want the lazy process. Take the header off and have it jet-coated. You will never have to worry about polishing it again, since the coating makes it look like new.

hmm is the coating irreplaceable?

I used this method and though time consuming, it works great. I should add that I went a step further and for my final sanding I used 1600grit to make sure there were no swirl marks in the stainless.
