The JDM Intake manifold for a B16A intake manifold is missing a port for the EVAP Solenoid Valve hose....



What should I do w/this? Some say to plug the hose. I'll take all support here, thanks!

 

plug it. i dont have one on my jdm motor

 

Unless you are worried about passing emissions, you don't NEED the evap purge.

 

So then, it should be plugged?

What is its purpose?

Two functions:
1) Prevents fuel vapors from escaping into the atmosphere by...

2) Temporarily storing fuel vapors in the charcoal canister, then the Evap purge valve will purge the vapors into the engine so they can be burned.

plug tha purge solenoid valve side or tha canister side? if tha canister side, can't we just leave it open? and if tha purge solenoid valve side, what about tha plug comin' from tha ECM (ECU)?
