Default H22 and H23 swap

i have a 97 accord coupe with a sohc vtec with 145hp. i wanted to put a H22 prelude motor in it cause i heard it helps alot on torque to pull my heavy accord around . but also i know theres a H23 but i dont know what preludes they came in or much about them. so which would you think would be better and how much do they cost used and new? and what mods should i do to the motor after header, intake, and exhaust? i've already got a carbon fiber hood and i have light weight koneg rims. tryin to save weight thanks

I think there was an H23 vtec but if there was on it is extremly rare. I would go with an H22 vtec if I were you.

The H23 vtec is from the JDM wagons 98+. The extra torque helps pull that boat around.

I notice you are from Stockbridge. I live about 10 minutes from there. If you are looking for a motor in the Atlanta area, give Pacific Engines a call. I have bought a couple of trannies from them. They have H22s (motor only) for around $1250. You can buy a complete swap for under $2000 usually.

I have an H22 in my 94 Accord, and can say that it makes a HUGE difference when compared to the old motor.
