1998 Accord with check engine light- P1167 as the code
I have a 1998 Honda Accord 4 cyl 2.3L that has an illuminated check engine light. I brought it to AutoZone and the code that came up is P1167 (Manufacturer controlled air fuel metering). I changed the primary O2 sensor in the manifold (pre-cat) without affecting the code. The O2 sensor was purchased at PEP Boys and was supposedly an OEM Bosch sensor. (89 dollars) Any help on how to correct the code and to elimate the check engine light from being illuminated would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Michael
Thanks,
Michael
I don't think bosch is the oem sensor.
HOW TO CLEAR TROUBLE CODES (after you fix the problem)
a. Remove ignition key
b. Locate fuse panel on passenger's side
c. Remove fuse no. 13 10 seconds, and then place it back in.
Hope it works.
