Default Stripped threads

I have a 94 ls and I had to put a new tranny in it cause I blow the old out at the track. There are the 3 bolt holes right on top of the tranny for the top tranny mount, but 2 of them are stripped out, would I be able to use a heli coil, would it be strong enough. I can't really find any heli coil that size either. I thought about just getting a little bigger bolt and taping bigger threads but I don't know about that either. Any suggestions about maybe where to go or what do to?

I had the same issue. I found some longer bolts, and some washers... and It worked.

Ghetto.. but I was in a hurry to get it together, and I didn't have time for helicoils.

Can't you just tap in a larger bolt size? the top mount should be pretty easy to access, id just go two, maybe three sizes larger. I think most helicoils are two sizes larger so three for tapping would probably work out just fine...
