hey, i wanna debagde my type s symbol, but i dont wanna eff anything up.
(i'm a little retarded sometimes ) anyway, i did a search, couldn't find any help. all im tryin to do is debagde, and maybe mount my RSX logo where the ACura is, and then get a JDM Type S emblem, and put it on the right where the RSX type s is. will there be any marks or anything? damage paint?

Use fish string. pull it as close to the car as you can, back and fourth till it falls off.

Then get some sort of wax and tar remover that is safe on paint.

SEE.. no damage at all

My rsx-S badge either rubbed into my paint... But at certain angles you can still see the outline of the emblem... Still trying to find something to take it off.

I had a similar problem with my EP. I tried taking off the rear Civic and Si emblem and ended up with a paint chip outline of the emblems. Just went ahead and bought some emblem adhesive and put the emblems back on.

To get the emblem off, you just need dental floss, or fishline. If you have outlines, your best bet is to use some sort of adhesive remover, like Goo Gone, and to rub it off. You might even have to use a razor, which is scary, but works fantastically.

Is that a word?

Good luck with it!

When people remove their badges and there is an outline left behind, they're not referring to the glue residue, they're referring to the fact that any paint underneath the badge is smooth as a baby's butt because it hasn't been exposed to the elements whereas the paint around the badge might be slightly faded/pitted etc.

The best way to get rid of this outline is to first remove all of the residue with some glue removing solution and then buff the crap out of that area so that all of the paint is smoothed.

dental floss and then use wax and grease remover to remove the double sided tape that is left over it may leave an outline you may be able to remove it with some wax or if u can get someone to polish it out just simply sand and polish it out.

You'll find that heating it up with a hair dryer first makes the job easier.

good way is to first heat up with blow dryer (don't heat directly but heat around the area). then fishline it. to clean the sticky area i found turtle wax bug and tar remover works nicely.

Could also use Meguiar Scratch-X to buff out any outlines left behind.

i used simply an old credit card, and slid it thru the emblem. i then used goo gone to remove all that adhesive. it didnt scratch or nothin. just do it slowly and carefully and u'll be fine.
